All in person courses will be limited to a 15 mile radius outside of Arlington Heights, IL.

Informed Beginnings
This course is ideal for expectant parents looking to gain confidence, reduce fear and anxiety, and plan ahead for childbirth. Its focus is on late pregnancy and labor preparation, the stages of labor, pain management options, both vaginal and cesarean deliveries, and the immediate recovery phase. The initial postpartum period, maternal physical and emotional changes, and newborn interventions are discussed. We recommend clients participate in “Informed Beginnings” at around 28 weeks gestation and beyond. This course is offered virtually and is about 3 hours in duration. The cost of this course is $200 for 1-2 clients.

Nurturing New Life
Any caregiver would benefit from this comprehensive course that reviews newborn care and safety. Newborn care encompasses swaddling, diapering, bathing, umbilical and circumcision care (if applicable), feeding, and more. Some safety topics covered include automobile safety, water safety, safe sleep, and safe-proofing your home. “Nurturing New Life” is perfect for expectant parents planning ahead, new parents seeking guidance, seasoned parents needing a refresh, or any caregiver looking to learn . This course is offered virtually and is about 1.5 hours in duration. The cost of this course is $160 for 1-2 clients.

Infant/Child CPR & Choking
CPR (Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation) and choking instruction is available for any person over the age of 12 years old needing or willing to learn emergency preparedness skills. This CPR course teaches lifesaving skills to identify and respond to cardiac, breathing, and first aid emergencies until professional help arrives. In accordance with AHA guidelines, this course discusses recognition of a medical emergency, safety precautions, and administration of high quality CPR to both infants and children. This course is only offered in-person and lasts about 1.5 hours in duration. The cost of this course is $75 per client.

BLS Certification
A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification course prepares healthcare professionals and others to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies in adults, children, and infants. This course covers essential skills of high-quality CPR, using an AED, and managing obstructed airways. It emphasizes both single-rescuer and team-based approaches in various settings, including prehospital and in-facility environments. This course is only offered in-person and lasts about 2 hours in duration. This course is designed for groups of 8+ clients. Cost is determined based upon the size of the group.

BP Premium Package
The BP Premium Package encompasses all of the content from our Informed Beginnings, Nurturing New Life, and Infant/Child CPR & Choking courses. This package has both in-person and virtual components and lasts about 5 hours in duration. The courses included in this package may be split up amongst multiple days. The cost of this package is $350 for 1-2 clients.
